your body has a story

you have a story about your body

A 14-week guided journey back into your body led by Ailey Jolie

Inbody is an online program for those who are ready to stop fixing, performing, or striving and start returning. Returning to the body. To sensation. To the sacredness of their skin. To the place within that never stopped knowing. This course is not about self-development or mastery; instead, it is to be a slow, sacred unravelling. A homecoming to the body beneath the shame, beneath the stories, beneath culture, beneath the pain and trauma… beneath all the ways you learned to leave yourself. Rooted in somatic psychology, story work, ritual, movement and bodyfullness; inbody offers space to feel, remember, and reclaim what has always been yours—your one and only, body.

Ailey holds a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) designation with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Curriculum Overview

Module One: Your Body — Society’s Story

We begin where the story began not with you, but with the culture that shaped you. This module explores how capitalist, colonial, and patriarchal forces have distorted your understanding of the body. Together, we examine how media, the wellness industry, and gendered expectations have become ingrained in your nervous system. This is where disembodiment begins.

Module Two: Your Body — The Lineage Story

Next, we turn to your bloodline… the stories inherited from mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, and unnamed ancestors. This isn’t just about trauma; it’s about patterns, permissions, silences, and survival. You’ll be supported to hold both the grief and the gifts of what was passed down. Not to discard the past, but to live from the parts that still feel true.

Module Three: Your Body — The Food, Body & Weight Story

This module explores how your body has been measured, managed, and moralized. Diet culture doesn’t just shape what we eat, it shapes who we think we’re allowed to be. Through a weight-inclusive, compassionate lens, we’ll untangle beliefs around thinness, control, health, and hunger. What happens when nourishment becomes presence instead of performance?

Module Four: Your Body — The Relationship Story

We turn toward love, longing, and attachment. You’ll explore how your romantic and relational experiences, past and present, have left somatic imprints. Desirability, betrayal, closeness, abandonment: these live not just in memory, but in muscle. This is not about blame. It’s about understanding how your body learned to guard, reach, fawn, or disappear—and what it might mean to relate differently now.

Module Five: Your Body — The Stuff Inside Story

Now we go inward, into the emotions, memories, and sensations that remain stored in your body. This module helps you meet the “unfinished stories” still held within, using neuroscience-informed practices that emphasize safety, pacing, and attunement. This is not about forcing release. It’s about finally having space to stay.

Module Six: Your Body — The Pleasure Story

Pleasure is not frivolous. It’s a form of remembering. This module explores pleasure’s role in physical and emotional well-being—and the shame, silence, and scripts that often surround it. You’ll be invited into a space where desire, consent, curiosity, and sovereignty can live side by side.

Module Seven: Your Body — Your Story (A Revision)

With all that’s been revealed and re-membered, this final module is where authorship returns to your hands. You’ll be guided to write a new body story—one not shaped by shame or survival, but by truth, integrity, and choice. This isn’t fantasy. It’s a narrative rooted in who you’ve become and where you’re going.
